employed 285,600 individuals and indirectly supported an additional 411,400 jobs, according to Natural Resources Canada's Energy Fact Book. During the same year, Canada exported $199.1 billion in energy to 123 countries, with the United States being the largest recipient. In contrast, Canada imported $57.9 billion worth of energy. As Canada moves toward a lower-carbon future, leaders are advancing the green transition by investing in renewable energy, promoting energy efficiency, and reducing emissions.
