Stephanie Prior is an energy executive with over 25 years of experience as an advisor and executive. She serves Deloitte Canada & Chile’s Strategy & Business Design Leader for Energy, Resources and Industrials. Stephanie advises clients across natural resources, power & utilities, agriculture, chemicals, transportation and technology sectors. Prior to becoming a Corporate Strategy Advisor, her roles ranged from leading Corporate Development and Investor Relations for a multi-billion dollar publicly-listed energy company, Investment Banking, leading a successful start-up SAAS company to 85% market share and exploring for gold and diamonds in Canada’s Arctic.
Since becoming a Corporate Strategy Advisor in 2014, Stephanie has advised Asian, European, African, and North American corporate and government clients on corporate and growth strategies and M&A spanning oil & gas, mining & metals and power & utilities. Over her career, she has worked extensively in Western Canada, the US, the UK, Europe, the Nordics, Africa and Asia. Stephanie has negotiated for and/or with counterparties from these regions as well as India, Middle East and South America. She led the design and development of a global Energy Systems model, and leverages data-driven scenario modeling to help advise clients on their strategy development and execution. Developing corporate strategies that are resilient and successfully executed, Stephanie also advises clients on their Enterprise Operating Model to ensure Governance, Systems, Processes, People and Culture all work harmoniously to achieve strategic outcomes.
As both an Investment Banker and Corporate Development Leader she has successfully executed multiple transactions valued more than US$7Billion including advising on several large-scale integrations (e.g. ~$70B Nutrien (Agrium-Potash) Corporation merger) and carve outs (e.g. Teck Resources carve out of Elk Valley Resources). Stephanie’s passion is helping clients translate from intention to action by providing practical advice & specialized support. In 2020 the World Energy Council named Stephanie as one of the Top 275 Female Executives and Influencers Globally.
