As Vice President and National Practice Lead for energy and environment resources, Ted guides clients through matters involving government relations, regulatory, stakeholder engagement and indigenous relations. With a background in communications, issues management, branding, and advertising, he keenly understands the importance of a fully integrated approach to public affairs.
Since joining Global Public Affairs, Ted has been part of a team that’s played a significant role in hydrogen development in Canada and working with major international energy and resource firms located in Canada or looking to establish Canadian operations.
Before Global, Ted was Vice President of Corporate Relations and Communications at Ontario Power Generation (OPG), one of the largest electricity producers in Canada. At OPG, he led a team responsible for communications and community stakeholder engagement on large nuclear, hydroelectric, and thermal power plant projects. Ted also oversaw Indigenous, Provincial, Federal and international relations. In an earlier mandate, he led advertising, branding, media relations, and broader communications. Ted also worked for the Ontario Ministry of Energy, the Independent Electricity System Operator and implemented a successful stakeholder and community engagement plan for the construction and operation of the Portlands Energy Centre.
